119 Years of Sound Leadership & Management

Hollenbeck Palms has enjoyed strong and stable management for over 100 years and is governed by a distinguished Board of Trustees, comprised of six individuals who have achieved notable professional and philanthropic accomplishments throughout their careers.

Hollenbeck Palms President and CEO, William G. Heideman has served Hollenbeck Palms for 37 years and follows the leadership of his father William A. Heideman, and grandfather Clarence W. Hensel, who served terms of 46 years and 31 years respectively. The long legacy of Hollenbeck Palms Presidents has steered our course steadfastly to insure that Hollenbeck stays true to its mission as excerpted below:

…to provide comfortable, enjoyable and secure retirement living… with great compassion, honest dignity and genuine love.

Under their respective administrations Hollenbeck has achieved marks of excellence by continuously refurbishing its campus, while developing award-winning nursing teams, all through the hiring and supervision of executive managers, mid-level managers and other staff.

Vice President and and Treasurer, Morris Shockley, has provided sound financial and administrative leadership spanning 20 years, along with Hollenbeck Palms, Director of Nursing Services, Camille Goldsmith, R.N., M.N. and her 12 years of service. Ms. Goldsmith’s supervision of all Hollenbeck Nurses, many of whom have had 10 plus years of service, includes oversight of 24-hour skilled nursing and assisted living levels of care.
